At The Rooted Institute, we help people understand their bodies and the protective responses of the nervous system—especially where trauma is present. Our work demystifies how trauma lives in the nervous system and pelvis, offering practical, trauma-focused education that supports ethical embodiment practices and real, sustainable change.
Led by Dr. Grace, whose 13+ years of trauma-focused pelvic work integrates neuroscience, trauma-specific tools, somatic practices, and pelvic health education, this program supports those seeking a deep inner process of repairing their relationship to the body from the inside out.
This program is for you if you feel stuck in repeating trauma patterns, live with chronic or complex pelvic pain—especially following medical gaslighting—or are navigating the impacts of pelvic trauma that leave you feeling irritable, hypervigilant, numb, tight, stuck, or out of control.
After experiencing meaningful change through this inner work, you’ll have the opportunity to further build your skills and learn how to create a safe, ethical container to support others through our Pelvic Trauma Coach Certification Program.
Hi, I’m Dr. Grace, founder and creator of The Rooted Institute. This work is the culmination of both my professional training and my own deep pelvic healing journey.
I hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and am a Board-Certified Women’s Health Specialist, with advanced certification in Pelvic and Obstetric Health through the American Physical Therapy Association. My work is further informed by extensive training in trauma-specific modalities, including Compassionate Inquiry®, Somatic Experiencing®, Psychedelic Somatic Institute®, and Finding Solid Ground®. Central to my work is InnerEthics®, a framework that has shaped my capacity to hold inclusive, safe, ethical, and deeply attuned containers for others to engage in their own inner healing.
Through my own pursuit of pelvic healing, I’ve experienced profound paradigm and consciousness shifts from processing deep ancestral, developmental, birth, and sexual trauma. My journey involved integrating neuroscience-backed methods, modern medical interventions and historical healing philosophies that address core and root wounds.
Across all my training and lived experience, one truth has remained clear: there is an innate drive toward healing and self-actualization within all of us, and our nervous systems are our truest guides. I now embody the Neurodivergent, Queer Elder I longed for when I was younger—and I bring that grounded, relational wisdom into everything I teach.
If you’re seeking a supportive community where you can learn about trauma, explore what embodiment truly means, and develop the skills necessary to holding a rooted, trauma-informed container for others’ pelvic healing, The Rooted Institute welcomes you.
